About the Project Assistant Internship Role

Role Type: Full time, 6-month internship

Start Date: 5 September 2022

Location: Nairobi, Kenya – hybrid

Reports to: primarily to the Project Coordinator and secondary to the Chief Innovation and Research Officer (CINRO); the intern may be assigned to projects and departments, relevant to his/her skills, as the need arises.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field
  • Less than 1 year of work experience
  • Excellent proficiency in Business English – both written and spoken

  • Quick-learner, entrepreneurial, thrives in quick-paced environments, ready to ask questions
  • Highly organized, punctual and diligent
  • Fantastic inter-personal skills, good phone etiquette

Primary Responsibilities

  • Schedule / assist in scheduling meetings with external stakeholders for the purposes of research, commercial approach, partnerships, etc.
  • Track key metrics and deliverables on assigned projects, and report them to the relevant stakeholders according to the agreed-upon regularity.
  • Work with other employees to ensure the smooth and timely running of assigned projects.
  • Be instrumental in the continuous knowledge-sharing within the organization, following the established protocols and as instructed by the Project Coordinator.
  • Pursue projects of interest relevant to the organization.
